Edit Your Job:
You can edit your job at any time BUT all bids will need to be resubmitted on the job. When you add a large item to the move, the old bids that you received are no longer good. They will show up with a status of rejected. When you update the move, movers will get an email and they will have to resubmit their bids.
Why You Should Do It NOW:
The ONLY way to get the best price is to enter accurate info. Why? Because you want to get the lowest price on YOUR move. If you enter inaccurate info, or you're missing info, then movers will charge you fees. These fees will be charged at the last moment, when the mover has the upper hand, and you need the move done. You're not in a position to negotiate. You can threaten them with a bad review, but you both know you entered inaccurate info. Edit the move as soon as possible to avoid rejecting all of your bids at the last minute.
Before You Do Anything:
Check out the tips to get the lowest prices and ways to avoid hidden fees. Think of anything you can possibly include about your move. Take advantage of the 'Additional Move Info'. If there is anything you know about your move that you have not entered, do it now. Here's some things that should be included in Additional Move Info:
- Any items you don't think will fit in the elevator.
- Any items you don't think will fit through the door.
- Narrow stairways or halls.
- Any items that you think are fragile.
- Any extra steps inside and outside of the building.
- Any equipment that you think is required, like screwdrivers and hammers to disassemble/reassemble an item.
- Long distances from the house/apt to the curb.
- Only exit through the back or side door.
- Some buildings requires a licensed or insured mover.
- Building only allows use of the service elevator during certain times.
